Students in 5th grade are invited to be a part of our AAA School Safety Patrol.  As members of Safety Patrol, students help monitor the arrival and dismissal areas for safety.  Safety Patrol students will wear a bright green badge or vest so that students who need assistance can identify them quickly.  Safety Patrol will also monitor areas in which vehicles are operated to ensure that drivers are following safety standards while entering and exiting Silverwood’s premises.

Silverwood’s Student Council is open to 4th and 5th graders who campaign and are voted in at the beginning of the year.  Student Council provides community service (canned food drive, etc.) and community building (spirit days, morning announcements, spirit counts) at Silverwood

Bee Bucks

All employees on Silverwood’s campus, as well as members of our Student Safety Patrol, have access to Bee Bucks.  Bee Bucks are handed to students who demonstrate one or more of the following standards at any given moment:

Being Responsible

Being Respectful

Being Safe

Student Store

As students gather a collection of Bee Bucks throughout the year, they may cash them in for prizes at our Student Store, which is open once per month.  The Student Store provides a means of great-behavior reinforcement and motivates students to demonstrate Bee-Buck standards to acquire more bucks for prizes.
