Walk & Talk Morning Routine

Silverwood is excited to launch a new routine/procedure for our morning drop-off for 1st-5th grade students.  The students are invited to participate in our "Walk & Talk" program.  It is the simple practice of mindfully connecting with classmates through conversation.  This can be a wonderful time to connect and build relationships.  Morning transitions can be challenging for all children, and our Walk & Talk reframes the morning into a safe, exciting, positive transition time for our students.  The Walk & Talk is a community building, regulating time for children to experience patterned, rhythmic movement which will prepare their minds and bodies to calmly enter the classroom.

During 8:00-8:10 am, the play equipment (play structure usage, balls, tag games, tetherballs, running, etc.) will not be available.  This is so all students can safely participate in our Walk & Talk morning routine.
